Established in 1991 at Kurunjibag, Sullia, KVG Dental College & Hospital has grown from a 40-seat BDS programme into a dental institution with postgraduate training across nine specialties.

Late Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda

Late Dr. Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda, popularly known as ‘KVG’ was a true Gandhian in spirit and action and has devoted his entire life in changing the destinies of the large rural mass of Sullia taluk. Born in 1928, in an agricultural family, he is a BHAGEERATHA who has brought JNANA GANGA to this small town and made Sullia a VIDYA KASHI. Powered by the visionary leadership of Late Dr. KVG, the academy of Liberal Education today is a registered body with more than fifty educational Institutions. He is the source of inspiration to all. He is a man of many dimensions. He is a model agriculturist, an educationist, a patron of fine arts and cultural endeavors, a social reformer par excellence and a philanthropist of great stature. All these have made him a living legend.

About Us
A college shaped by dental education, clinical service, and human values.
The KVG Dental college & hospital, Kurunjibag, Sullia was established in the year 1991. The first batch of 40 students celebrated their graduation on august1996 and began their carrier as dental professionals. The college was recognized by DCI and RGUHS with 100 admissions in the year 2001 and currently runs post graduate courses in 9 specialties. The college has progressed leaps and bounds in keeping quality dental education imbibed with proficiency and human value. This emporium has reached its zenith with completion of two decades in dental education.

Clinical section of the Dental College was functional on January 1992
New building laying the foundation stone : 16-05-1992 : Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri S. Bangarappa
The new building was inaugurated on 24th April 1994 by the Chief Minister of Karnataka Sri M. Veerappa Moily.
