Periodontology
The department serves patients from Sullia, Coorg, Kasaragod, and neighboring regions with a treatment spectrum that ranges from scaling to major mucogingival surgery, bone grafting, and esthetic correction.
Periodontics at KVG spans surgical periodontal care, mucogingival procedures, preventive oral health, and smile design.
KVG’s periodontology unit has separate undergraduate and postgraduate sections, dedicated labs, a sterilization room, seminar space, X-ray support, and patient education facilities.

Prosthodontics
KVG’s prosthodontics programme connects diagnosis, treatment planning, oral rehabilitation, and post-procedural care across missing-tooth replacement, implantology, and complex oral function restoration.
The prosthodontics department focuses on oral rehabilitation, implant-supported treatment, occlusion, and maxillofacial prosthetic care.
The department began undergraduate teaching in 1991 and postgraduate teaching in 1998, later expanding its seat intake while building dedicated spaces for implants, ceramics, casting, and student training.

The department maintains separate undergraduate and postgraduate operatories, a dedicated minor oral surgery clinic, computerized records, and access to a 20-bed inpatient ward in KVG Medical College.
