History
Smriti was inaugurated on December 21, 2001 and framed as a lasting alumni forum.
Smriti, the KVGDC Alumni Association, was inaugurated by Sri Kurunji Venkataramana Gowda, with Dr. Krishna Prasada L as the first President and Dr. Jayaprasad Anekar as Secretary.
It describes the association as a platform for regular interaction between alumni and their alma mater, supporting reunion activity, academic exchange, teacher recognition, social welfare, environmental programmes, and financial support for students and the institution.
Objectives
Alumni involvement continues across batches and professions.
Create and maintain continuous communication between the institute and past and present students.
Sustain excellence in education through interaction among alumni, faculty, and students.
Maintain a roster of KVG Dental College alumni and their permanent records.
Guide and assist alumni who have recently completed their course.
Provide a forum for exchange on academic, cultural, and social issues while coordinating reunion activity.
Recognize teachers and prominent members of society for their service.
Support the parent institution in all possible ways.
Association Notes
The association profile specifically mentions guest lectures, workshops, CDE programmes, Teacher’s Day celebrations, blood donation camps, Vanamahotsava, and youth-development programmes linked to National Youth Day.
These roles and activities remain visible as evidence of institutional continuity across generations of students.

Distinguished Alumni
A visible roll of alumni who went on to institutional, academic, clinical, and public-service roles.
This table reflects the college’s published list of notable graduates across academia, administration, international practice, the armed forces, and public visibility.
Smriti Association
Office-bearer references remain part of the association record.
The page closes with a structured office-bearer table. Keeping those roles visible helps the alumni route function as a public association reference, not just a gallery.
